I hope everyone is well to start this week. A former student teacher of mine reached out to me about doing some work with his orchestra program at Stivers School for the Performing Arts on a part time basis. I will be there with their orchestras starting tomorrow. This is certainly nothing like what I enjoyed for decades as a full-time teacher, but it will be great to support my friend and his orchestra program, and I can’t wait to get started.
New beginnings.

I was an orchestra teacher for 33 years in the Kettering City Schools and the Fairborn City Schools. I also enjoyed work with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra as well as Peace Lutheran Church, Church of the Cross United Methodist and Shroyer Rd. Baptist Church. View all posts by richwright1966

Four years ago I was in sixth grade, new to orchestra as a whole. During my years throughout middle school, even if I didn’t talk much, orchestra was always my favorite class, and all my friend’s favorite too. Everyone I’ve ever talked to agrees that you were their favorite teacher, I never did get to voice how much the class meant to me. I even have friends I made because of orchestra that I might not have today, I don’t know if you’ll read this but if you ever do that same friend of mine and former student would enjoy speaking with you as well as I, we hope you have a wonderful week 🙂

Sophie thank you so much for your kind message. I am so happy to read this today. If you would have known me in middle school, we are a lot alike. I was always so grateful to have you in our class. I hope high school is going well. Good days ahead for you 🙂

Hi, Mr.Wright! This is Caroline Fagan from Van Buren’s 8th grade orchestra. We miss you so much!!! Orchestra’s definitely not the same without you, and I hope you’ve been doing well. I’m doing lots of singing and basketball, and playing the bass still makes me happy. I’m so grateful for all the love you’ve brought into the orchestras, and I wish you all the best happiness!
