For as long as I can remember, I didn’t dream too often, and when I did, it would be about work, teaching, the days I was living. It happened last night. I was teaching classes in my dreams, feeling all of the ups and downs of that. That is how life is. I woke up grateful for today, but always missing the wonderful people that I have gotten to know over the years. I hope if you are reading this today that you are maneuvering the Ups and Downs of life the best you are able. I read all of the comments and won’t ever post unless it is general to everyone. Check in anytime.

Go Birds!

Back to 2020
I often think about the Covid shutdowns. As a teacher it was awful. I missed teaching in person. I miss it now. People had real tragedies they were dealing with, so I realize my situation was hardly worth mentioning. One thing helped, a lot. I made videos with our then 17 year old, totally blind cat Callie, who we nicknamed Bun-Bun. I looked forward to it and loved those moments. That dear cat died a few months later. I stumbled across these videos recently and they made me smile. Pets help.
The classical music of the show “Wednesday”.
A great article about the Classical Music used in the new season of “Wednesday” on Netflix that features a cello playing protagonist.
Go. Think. Learn. Everyone!

1st Days..
This is this first time since Pre-School that I haven’t been involved in a 1st day of school. That is around 1970 I believe. I have as much to learn today as ever. I miss the buildings, the teachers and most of all our students. Enjoy it all. It is a beautiful day. More soon…
Grateful for Music…

It happens that fast…

Just like that, walking through the store, I am thinking about school. I still get excited about school supplies and new beginnings. It is like the next episode of a favorite show. I need to re-write what that show is going to look like, but I remain excited to see this image.
Great Memories
We have been on the road to start the summer, with a lot of time to think and reflect. I am excited to spend more time working on this little blog site. I am also so grateful for all of the well wishes and kindnesses to close out the school year and that chapter of my life. It was overwhelming but so appreciated. Today would have marked day 1 of a favorite tradition of mine, Summer Strings. I will always miss every part of camp week and the excitement and enthusiasm it always brought. Anyone who is reading this, if you were ever a part of camp week, thank you. You are why it happened all these years. More down the road soon. Gratefully….
Thankful for our schools…
